Starting 2008 with a bang or two

Ringing in the new year from the 27th floor apartment of my sister in Society Hill, I was able to make these photos of the fireworks over Penns Landing and the Delaware River.







Moments after the fireworks were over, reports of shots fired and multiple victims down with the possibility of police involvement in the shooting. Police responded to the call of shots fired on Boyer Street near Wyncote Road in West Oak Lane around 12:15am. The responding officers were forced to shoot a gunman who pointed his weapon at them, and at least 2 other people were wounded in the exchange of gunfire.
