Duff's Cut supporters continue to discover

Tree climber and arborist Sean Murtaugh assists "Duffy's Cut" supporters by taking down a 130 foot tall 90-100 year old Poplar tree.  The tree is located in the center of the "Duffy's Cut" archaeological search site, in East Whiteland Township.

According to Dr. William Watson, a history professor at Immaculata University, the remains of an Irish Immigrant who was buried along with 56 others, was buried beneath this tree.  Approximately two years ago, archaeologists found several skeletal artifacts, near the base of the tree.  Supporters along with Dr. Watson believe that the rest of this man's remains are entangled in the roots of the tree.  In order to make the dig site safe, the tree was topped off by arborists, leaving only 25 feet of the tree remaining.

Supporters will now work to safely recover the rest of the skeletal remains, this being the last body that they believe to be at this exact location of "Duffy's Cut".
