A multiple alarm fire gutted a two bedroom caretakers apartment, which is attached to a ten stall horse barn in the 1400 block of Prizer Road in South Coventry Township. The barn which is part of the Beaver Run Farm estate sustained massive amounts of damage from the fire. The estate is currently up for sale at a whopping $3.8 million. Firemen from Ridge, Norco, Ludwigs Corner, Kimberton, Spring City, Lionville, Kulpton Fire Company in Berks County, Linfield Fire Company of Montgomery County, Twin Valley Fire Department, and Ambulance from Goodwill in Pottstown were all on scene, as well as PA State Police from Embreeville and the Chester County Fire Marshalls office.
