TORNADO HITS LANCASTER COUNTY


Dave Ondrejik, Severe Weather Coordinator for the National Weather Service office in State College confirmed that Sunday's severe weather in Clay Township, Lancaster County was in fact an EF-1 category Tornado. Randy Gockley, the Lancaster County Emergency Management Coordinator confirmed the damage estimates to be between 2 and 3 million dollars. He also confirmed reports that three people were injured during the storm, no fatalities were reported, and everyone has been located.

According to Ondrejik, 30 structures suffered damage from tornado, and Approx. 200 homes suffered damage from golf ball size hail that also came through the area.

USMC Cpl Anthony Williams laid to rest in Chester County

The Department of Defense announced Tuesday the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Corporals Anthony L. Williams, 21, of Oxford, PA and Michael W. Ouellette, 28, of Manchester, NH., died March 22 while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. They were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
